Edmond Sée
SÉE, EDMOND (1875–1959), French playwright. Born in Bayonne, Sée forsook the law to write witty plays analyzing human emotions. Mainly comedies in the 18th-century French classical tradition, these include the highly successful La brebis (1896), L'indiscret (1903), L'irrégulière (1913), La dépositaire (1924), and Charité (1932).
