Eliezer Kashani
KASHANI, ELIEZER (1923–1947), Jew executed by the British in Palestine. Kashani was born in Petaḥ Tikvah to a poor family with many children. In his youth he was a member of the Maccabi sports organization in which he distinguished himself. Arrested on suspicion of belonging to the underground movement, he was exiled to Eritrea, and in the internment camp joined IẒL. On his release and return to Ereẓ Israel, he became active in the movement, was arrested together with Drezner and Alkaḥi, sentenced to death, and hanged with them.
